Yuri is a IET chartered engineer with over 25 years experience in safety and dependability design assurance. Yuri has a very pragmatic attitude to safety and reliability engineering and has multi discipline experience relevant to mechanical, electrical/electronic as well as software intensive systems. Yuri has been involved in safety programmes at all levels, from systems of systems down to the equipment level. Yuri has worked across all sectors including Defence, Transport, Offshore and Industrial projects. Yuri’s focus is to identify following a thorough safety assessment and working closely with the Client, practical areas where the design can be influenced to optimise its safety characteristics. In this way clearly demonstrating to the Client that value has been added.
Yuri has also developed for a number of companies procedures and a defined process model for ensuring within their delivery process that safety is appropriately integrated into the design process.
